Rattlesnake Ledge
A popular 4-mile hike about a 45 minute drive from downtown Seattle. Not too difficult of a climb, and the reward is a nice view of the turquoise lake and surrounding mountain view at the top! After doing the 12 mile Garibaldi hike in Vancouver, this hike felt like a breeze (and was a pretty good “bang for buck”)!
Kerry Park
A surprisingly small park, but with a big view of the city skyline! There’s a bit of a steep climb from the bus stop and you’ll probably only spend 15-30 minutes here, but this is *the* place to get your “Seattle” photo! Come around sunset if you can :)
Pike Place Market
A public market that’s nice to walk around. Get anything from flowers and art & crafts to food and souveneirs here! The flowers here are so plentiful and affordable -- you’ll see massive bouquets selling for $10. There are also nice views of the waterfront and pier (free!) Most vendors close at 5 or 6pm so make sure you come early in the day.
University Village
A shopping center / outdoor mall that’s a good place to spend an afternoon shopping. It’s got clothes, food, furniture, and more. Also within walking distance of University of Washington.
Chinatown / International District
Wing Luke Museum
A taste of Seattle food!
Highlight was Hai Di Lao Hotpot, which probably our most expensive meal, but well worth the experience. We saw a dancing dragon show, noodle-making performances, and robots carrying food to your tables. Even the bathrooms were 10/10 experience wise. :’) Other favorites include a Thai restaurant called Secret Savory and also pho from Pho Bac.
