Tips / Things to Know!
1. Get a Canadian National Park Pass.
2. To visit Lake Louise or Moraine, you need to purchase a shuttle ticket 48 hours in advance, so plan ahead! If that fails, try Lake Emerald or Lake Peyto for similar vibes and views.
3. If you want to canoe, Lake Emerald is cheaper and less crowded than Lake Louise and Moraine.
4. Banff hotels can be pricey. We stayed at the Mountain View Inn in the town of Canmore (about 20 minutes outside Banff).
5. The weather is so fickle! Do not trust the weather app! Bring a rain jacket and layers every day, but also be prepared to not even use them.
